Who is behind Chihuahua.sg?
Nelson and Kim, an AVS-licensed pet shop (licence AS24J00046, verifiable on the AVS public registry) at 2 Balestier Road #01-701, Singapore 320002. Chihuahua.sg is a Curious Tails brand: same people, same premises. We have placed 25+ Chihuahuas, in both coats and both head types, with no colour or head-type premium, and we refuse to sell a "teacup" or a double-merle at any price.
Who we are
Chihuahua.sg is run by Nelson and Kim, who between them have spent 2+ years matching puppies to Singaporean families through Curious Tails. This site is the Chihuahua half of that work, split out because the breed deserves more than one page inside a general puppy site.
We are an AVS-licensed pet shop. The licence number is AS24J00046 and it is on the AVS public registry of licensed pet shops, which anyone can search. We put it in the footer of every page because a licence you have to ask for is not much of a licence.
The shop is at 2 Balestier Road #01-701, Singapore 320002, open Weekdays 12pm–6pm · Weekends 10am–6pm. There is a real premises with real dogs in it, and you are welcome in it before you commit to anything.

Our relationship with Curious Tails
We say this plainly rather than burying it: Chihuahua.sg is a Curious Tails brand. Same people, same licensed premises, same dogs. It is not a separate company, a franchise, or an affiliate arrangement.
The reason for a separate site is straightforward. A Chihuahua buyer has questions a general puppy site cannot answer , such as whether the breed clears HDB, what a deer head actually is, why the dental care matters more than for any other toy breed, and what the word "teacup" is really doing in an advertisement. Those deserve their own pages, written by people who place the breed rather than assembled from other people's articles.
If you enquire here and buy through Curious Tails, nothing has changed hands. It is the same organisation and the same licence.
What we actually place
We place Chihuahuas in both coats, smooth and long. One breed, two varieties. The long coat needs more grooming; it does not cost more.
We place both apple-head and deer-head dogs. Apple-head is the breed standard, domed skull, often with a molera. Deer-head is non-standard, typically healthy, and constantly mistaken for a Miniature Pinscher, which is why we wrote a whole page comparing the two. Neither is a discount tier and neither is a premium one.
On colour we place the standard range (fawn, cream, black and tan, chocolate and tan, white, blue-dilute) and occasionally merle, only ever from a health-screened single-merle pairing. We refuse double-merle, which carries a serious risk of congenital deafness and eye defects. We charge no premium for colour: a blue or a merle is priced exactly like any other Chihuahua.
We have placed 25+ Chihuahuas with Singapore families. Every puppy is purebred, vet-checked, microchipped, and goes home with vaccination records and breed identification.

What we refuse, and why we say so out loud
We refuse the word "teacup." "Teacup", "micro" and "pocket" are not size classes and appear in no breed standard. They are marketing labels attached to a runt, or to a dog deliberately bred down, and then sold at a premium. The dog pays for it: dangerous blood-sugar crashes, fragile bones, crowded teeth, larger vet bills, a shorter life.
When someone asks us for a teacup, the most useful thing we can do is explain why we will not sell one. Most people thank us. That conversation is the single most common one we have, which is why the teacup page is the most-read page on this site.
We also refuse double-merle, we will not sell a Chihuahua into a household that intends to keep it outdoors, and we will decline a sale if having met you we do not think the match is right for the dog. None of those are negotiable by paying more.
The questions we ask instead of "what is your budget" are: is there a young toddler in the home?, because a Chihuahua is genuinely fragile and can be hurt by, or snap at, rough small children. And who is this dog's person? The breed bonds intensely, often to one person. That is wonderful for a single owner or a senior, and a mismatch for a busy household where nobody is really available.
When someone asks us for a teacup, the most useful thing we can do is explain why we will not sell one. Most of them thank us for it.
How we write these guides
Every guide on this site is written from placing the breed, not from summarising other people's articles. Where we state a rule, such as the HDB approved list, the AVS licence fee, the one-dog rule, we date it and say where it came from, because those rules change and a stale answer stated confidently is worse than no answer.
Where we are uncertain, we say so. Where we are giving an opinion rather than a fact, we mark it as ours. And where a question genuinely needs a vet, we say "see a vet" rather than filling the space with something that reads like advice.
