How Chihuahua.sg handles your personal data under Singapore's PDPA: what we collect, why, how long we keep it, and how to get it back or get it deleted.
What does Chihuahua.sg do with my data?
We collect your name and mobile number when you enquire, and your full details only at purchase, because AVS dog licensing legally requires them. We never sell data and run no advertising trackers. Enquiries that go nowhere are deleted within 12 months. You can ask for a copy or a deletion at any time by messaging +65 8220 6408: no form, no fee, answered within 30 days.
Who this notice covers
Chihuahua.sg is operated by Curious Tails, an AVS-licensed pet shop in Singapore (licence AS24J00046, company registration 202420075D). Curious Tails is the organisation responsible for your personal data under Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA).
This notice covers https://chihuahua.sg and every enquiry that reaches us through it: the enquiry form on this site, WhatsApp messages to +65 8220 6408, and email to hello@curioustails.sg. It does not cover the sites of third parties we link to, which run their own policies.
If you are reading this before contacting us: nothing on this site requires you to give us any personal data. You can read every page, including prices, without identifying yourself.

What we collect, and why
When you enquire. Your name, your mobile number, and whatever you choose to tell us about your household and what you are looking for. We use it to reply to you, to answer follow-up questions, and to tell you when a puppy matching what you described becomes available. If you send us photos of your home or your existing dog, we use them only to answer the question you asked them about.
When you visit us or buy. Your full name, NRIC or FIN, address, and contact details. We collect these because the law requires them, not because we want them: AVS dog licensing under the Animals and Birds Act is filed in the owner's name, and a licensed pet shop must keep a record of every animal it transfers. We file your first licence for you at purchase, which is why we need the details at that point.
When you just browse. Standard server and analytics data: the pages requested, the approximate region, the referring page, the device type. This is aggregate traffic measurement. We do not use it to build a profile of you, and we do not run remarketing or advertising pixels on this site.
What we never collect
- Payment card numbers: we take no card details through this site
- Your NRIC or FIN at the enquiry stage, only at purchase
- Anything from a child under 13, knowingly
- Data bought from a third-party list or broker
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to a purchase: deleted within 12 months of your last message to us. If you ask us to delete them sooner, we do it within 30 days.
Purchase records: kept for as long as the law requires a licensed pet shop to hold them, and for the life of the dog where a health or licensing question could reasonably come back to us. This is the one category we cannot delete on request, because we are required to be able to produce it.
WhatsApp threads: WhatsApp conversations sit on your device and ours. We clear ours on the same 12-month cycle as enquiries. Anything you have sent us also remains on your own phone, under your control, until you delete it there.
Analytics: retained in aggregate only, and never joined to an enquiry.
Who else sees it
We do not sell, rent or trade personal data. Ever. There is no list to be on.
A short list of parties do see some of it, because the transaction cannot happen otherwise: AVS, when we file your dog licence in your name; the veterinary clinic handling your puppy's health check or microchip registration; and our hosting and messaging providers, which process the traffic that carries your message to us. Each sees only what that job needs.
We share data with law enforcement or a regulator only where we are legally required to, and we tell you when we are permitted to tell you.
Chihuahua.sg is a Curious Tails brand, and enquiries are handled by the same people at the same licensed premises. If you enquire here and later buy through Curious Tails, it is the same organisation, not a transfer to a third party.
Your rights, and how to use them
Under the PDPA you can ask us for access to the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct anything wrong in it, and withdraw consent for us to keep contacting you. You can also ask us to delete what we hold, subject to the purchase records above.
Use any of them by messaging +65 8220 6408 on WhatsApp or emailing hello@curioustails.sg with what you want. We do not require a form, and there is no fee. We will confirm within 30 days.
Withdrawing consent is instant and costs you nothing: say "stop messaging me" and we stop. It does not affect anything you have already bought, and you are welcome to come back later.
If you think we have handled your data badly and we have not fixed it, you can complain to the Personal Data Protection Commission of Singapore. We would rather you told us first, at hello@curioustails.sg, and gave us the chance to put it right.
You can read every page on this site, prices included, without telling us who you are. We ask for data when we need it to answer you, and not before.
Cookies, security and changes
Cookies. This site does not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. What it does use is limited to keeping the site working and counting visits in aggregate. Your browser can block all of it and every page will still work.
Security. The site is served over HTTPS. Enquiry details are held in access-controlled accounts used only by the people who answer enquiries. No system is perfect, and we will not pretend otherwise: if a breach ever affected your data in a way that could cause you significant harm, we would notify you and the Commission as the PDPA requires.
Changes. If we change this notice we change the date below. We will not quietly widen what we collect and backdate it. If a change materially affects data we already hold about you, we will tell you directly rather than relying on you re-reading this page. We place merle only from a health-screened single-merle pairing, one merle parent to a non-merle parent, never merle to merle. We refuse double-merle.
